Leading brands build on secure transactions
In the ranking published by Millward Brown, the first twenty brands are Apple, Google, IBM, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Coca Cola, AT&T, Marlboro, China Mobile, GE, ICBC, Vodafone, Verizon, Amazon.com, Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo, UPS, HP, Deutsche Telekom, Visa. Nineteen out of twenty leading brands are involved in our secure transactions industry (the only one never covered in Smart Insights Weekly is Marlboro).
This is a demonstration, if needed, of how our industry has become central in protecting assets, developing business, and growing brand image for all major firms in the economic world. Most of these brands have set up businesses, or at least taken positions, that prove their leadership in secure transactions and that are instrumental in building their brand image.
When Millward Brown evaluates the market value of brands of leading companies, it might be difficult to identify which part of the value comes from secure transactions related projects, but there is no doubt their involvement in our industry plays an essential role in the brand image of Apple, Google, Microsoft, China Mobile, ICBC, Visa or many others.
Besides technology, image is building our customers value, thus increasing our value as an industry.
